OVERVIEW :
Thanks to the inhabitants of ancient Sogdiana, the most famous trade artery in history - the Great Silk Road - has long connected East and West. They traded valuable weapons and armor, but did not like war: their endless caravans needed peace. They were sybarites, connoisseurs and connoisseurs of a wide variety of arts and professions: from dancing, music and painting to cooking and hunting. It was they who instilled in Europeans and Chinese a love of horse polo, falconry and fried pies. And their women, seductively dancing in tight-fitting or almost bare-bones outfits, were sung about by poets all over the Old World. This route allows to visit the capitals of three medieval feudal states: Samarkand, Khiva and Bukhara. All of these cities played an important role in trade on the Great Silk Road. Each of them is unique in their own way, but they also have a lot in common. Beautiful buildings, ancient traditions, natural wonders, noisy bazaars and hospitable people. Come and enjoy it.
